Google executives will recognize the company's "mistake" on privacy issues when
An executive of Google's parent company, Alphabet (GOOGL.O), will acknowledge Google's "mistake" in privacy protection when testifying to a Senate Committee on Wednesday, according to a document seen by Reuters.
"We acknowledge past mistakes, learn from them, and improve our robust privacy program," Keith Enright, Google's privacy chief, told the Senate Commerce Committee in a written testimony. Google will testify alongside AT&T (T.N), Amazon.Com (AMZN.O), Apple (AAPL.O) and other companies on growing concerns about data privacy protection.
Google's written testimony did not specify the details of previous mistakes, but the company has been criticized for privacy concerns.
